First time selfbuilders Maxin Porcaro and Keith Hughes have built a stunning new £1 million home for just £150,000, demolishing a bungalow on the site and hiring house builder Potton to create their home.

Helen and Richard Gurd have replaced their tiny energy-guzzling bungalow with a new eco-
friendly house from Germany which was built in six weeks. The new rendered house has a
pitched tiled roof and copper guttering with triple-glazed PVC windows that have been finished to give the appearance of painted wood.
